Merritt to Launch Win With Integrity

At the Penn Relays on Friday, April 24th, USA Track & Field will present its WIN WITH INTEGRITY program and LaShawn Merritt will be a big part of it.

WIN WITH INTEGRITY, which will be presented at at the annual School Days Assembly, is aimed at educating youth, parents, educators, and coaches about the positive results that come from leading a physically active, drug-free lifestyle while living with integrity. The assembly will feature interactive question-and-answer sessions with three track and field athletes: LaShawn, 2008 graduate from East Carolina University, was a gold medalist in the men's 400 meters and 4x4 relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympics; Natasha Hastings, 2008 graduate from the University of South Carolina and a gold medalist in the women's 4x400 relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympics; and Bershawn Jackson, 2006 graduate from St. Augustine College and a bronze medalist in the men's 400 meter hurdles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

At the end of the program, participants will recite the WIN WITH INTEGRITY pledge indicating their commitment to be active and drug-free

ABOUT THE PENN RELAYS
The University of Pennsylvania will host the tenth annual Penn Relays School Days Program at the 115th running of the Penn Relay Carnival on Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24. Penn Relays School Days gives children from Philadelphia and surrounding areas the opportunity to experience the Penn Relays and witness more than 17,000 of the world’s top high-school, college, and professional track and field stars compete.
