Icon Dominates Guadeloupe
05/04/2009 - 12:46 by Icon Staff Over the past weekend, the athletes of Icon Management put on quite a show in the Caribbean, taking home six victories in the Meeting International Region Guadeloupe. Olympic 400m champion LaShawn Merritt, running his second race of 2009, won the 400m in 44.50 seconds (the current world lead), a full second ahead of the second place finisher. Like him, Angelo Taylor continued where he left off in Beijing, winning the 400m hurdles in a time of 48.97. Terrence Trammell took home the 110m hurdles in a time of 13.45. Shawn Crawford, the 2004 gold medalist in the 200m, won the same race in Guadeloupe in 20.59. Damu Cherry captured the 100m hurdles title in 12.81 seconds. Last but not least, budding high-jump sensation Keith Moffatt won his event with a leap of 2.28m -- setting a new meet record. RELATED STORIES
